Born in Yonkers but moving to Rockland at the age of two, Steve loved music from a young age mimicing performers while blasting his parents records and fm radio. Playing in a bunch of bands through high school and college, he finally found a permanent home when he met Brian Riback through a mutual friend and the two started writing and eventually kangaroo jones was born. Considering himself a songwriter more than a guitar player, the simpliocity of a great song is still what inspires him.
